CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) ? Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford's name is on the ballot again as he tries to mount a political comeback.
Sanford was the top vote-getter two weeks ago in the GOP primary for South Carolina's vacant 1st District congressional seat. He faces former Charleston County councilman Curtis Bostic in the GOP runoff.
When Sanford voted Tuesday, he discounted his lead from two weeks ago, saying there's no such thing as being well ahead in politics.
The winner faces Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch, the sister of comedian Stephen Colbert, and Green Party candidate Eugene Platt next month.
Sanford's trying to rebuild his political career after disappearing four years ago only to return to confess he was having an extramarital affair to a woman to whom he is now engaged.
